SNUBA in Hawaii
Snuba is a new, interesting, and practical option for seeing Hawaiian ocean life. Snuba was designed to bridge the gap between snorkeling and scuba diving. Snorkeling has no strict rules, but you cant breath underwater. With scuba diving you can breath under water but the laws/certification process can be overbearing to someone on holiday. Snuba has no certification process and is easily learn. Snuba has a compressed air cylinder tank that floats in a small raft that follows you around. There is an air line that allows you submerge up to 20 feet. You have to wear a small weight belt to help counteract the effects of buoyancy. Some other reasons to Snuba instead of scuba would be that younger kids can Snuba. Also Snuba can be less expensive. And because of the 20 ft diving limit, the body does not get exposed to the high pressures that can effect those with sensitive ears or those flying the next day. | |
